Shepherd the Flock

This March I will be heading to sunny Los Angeles, California for the 2008 Shepherds’ Conference. This will be my third trip to the conference, having also attended in 2004 and 2006.

I must thank the Lord for providing a way –completely out of the blue– to attend this year: an old friend called me up a couple of months ago and offered me an all-expense-paid trip! Naturally, I accepted whole-heartedly, and this gracious man and his church are coving all of the costs. What a tremendous, tremendous blessing! It truly was an answer to my specific prayers.

Like my previous trip out there, I am excited to sit under the teaching of John MacArthur and his wonderful staff, and I’m also excited to meet/touch base with other bloggers who will be attending as well. So please let me know if you will be attending, and hopefully we can find some time to touch base.

In addition, I have a few preaching engagements that have come up both before and immediately after the conference (March 5-9), as well as a college semester that is winding down. Needless to say, I’m extremely busy, and I would greatly appreciate prayers on my behalf during these next few weeks. Specifically, if you would pray that the Lord would keep me focussed, disciplined, and sincerely devoted to His constant worship as I deal with being this busy and all the distractions/hindrances that come with it. I certainly covet your prayers.
